About Me
Welcome! This is my fourth year at Athlos Leadership Academy and I am excited to be teaching third grade again this year! We will be working hard on our foundational reading and math skills, working independently, and how to be helpful community members.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We have a 2 year old son named Ben and a dog named Maddie. We love playing at the park and cooking! I graduated from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD and have worked in a variety of schools over the years. I love teaching and I can't wait to spend the year with you!

Welcome back to school!
I can't wait to see all of you tomorrow!
A few helpful hints for the first day of school:
Breakfast will be free and served in the cafeteria. Please eat or grab something to save for snack. You do not need to know your lunch pin, just grab breakfast and head to our classroom!
Don't forget your uniform and school supplies! Our classroom can feel cold sometimes, so bring an Athlos sweatshirt.
Tennis shoes are required for fitness, no crocs!
Third grade is a big year, come ready to learn every day!

Class Dojo
Our class is using Class Dojo this year to help provide students with instant feedback on how they are doing in class. Students can earn points in various ways throughout the day and they can lose points as well. Please keep in mind that this is only a small part of our day, but it is still something that can help you have a conversation about your child's day with them. The whole class can also earn points if everyone is doing their job and the whole class can lose points if over half of the class is not following our classroom expectations.
