Hello 4th grade families,

 

This week we finally return to all four subjects after a long hiatus. See below:

 

Language Arts: We finish up unit 6 on the transcontinental railroad as we continue learning how informational texts are structured and how to better comprehend what we're reading. We will end the week with the unit 6 assessment.

 

Math: This will be a big test week for what we've learned, not only in Unit 6 but throughout the whole year. We will be taking a test on long division and finding angles, then we will be taking a cumulative test over earlier units as well. We will begin Unit 7 at the end of the week.

 

Social Studies: We will be returning to our reading and studying of the different regions of the US. This week we will be reading about and doing independent research on the states of the American Southeast.

 

Science: We will be taking a more in-depth look at the Water Cycle for the next two weeks.
