Welcome to Room 233-Ms. Kreminski's class

Meet the Teacher

Hello, my name is Ms. Jeleah Kreminski.

This will be my tenth amazing year at Athlos Leadership Academy. I love to teach first grade. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!  First grade is a very special time in a child’s life, and you will see your child blossom immensely throughout the year.

I was born and raised in Crystal Minnesota. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Pre-Kindergarten Endorsement from Metropolitan State University, specializing in Urban Education, and Public Achievement. I have worked for many years as an educator. I have previously worked as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, at Head Start and also at a private school, where I worked as a Mentor Teacher.

I currently live in Brooklyn Park. I have two boys Tavis, who is twenty-four and Masen, who is seventeen. In my free time I love learning, spending time with my family, outdoor activities and teaching Zumba at the gym!

I love teaching at Athlos Leadership Academy. Athlos provides kids the skills they need for life long success. This year we will not only be learning academics, children will also be nurtured to grow in character and athleticism.

As part of Minnesota’s Reading Well by Third Grade Initiative, Minnesota schools are placing a heightened effort on ensuring that all students are reading at or above grade level by the end of third grade. Through a partnership between teachers and families, Athlos Leadership Academy students are supported in reaching that goal. Your student will be tested in the fall using the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Reading Assessment. Through this assessment, we will be able to determine if your student is reading above, at, or below grade level. It is our mission and practice to provide all of our students with optimal learning opportunities at their individual reading levels. Therefore, if your student is reading above grade level, they will be challenged with higher-level texts. If your student is reading below grade level, we will partner with families in ensuring that a plan is in place for increased reading proficiency.

The Fountas and Pinnell Reading Benchmark Targets are below.
