At Athlos Leadership Academy, we have a team of teachers assigned to provide math and reading support to our students who are performing well below grade level. The Academic Advancement Team (AAT) will support students in many different ways that include, but are not limited to teaching interventions as needed, providing foundational skill building as needed, reteaching grade-level content, and/or providing support to students while working through assigned grade-level work. Service decisions are made collaboratively between general education teachers, the AAT, and administrators. The AAT may be scheduled to “push in” and support students in their classroom, or may be scheduled to pull students out of the classroom to work on specific skills in the AAT rooms.
